The Big Chill

I’ve been taking some time off blogging, but the new theory of the foundation of the universe being sort of a “big chill” instead of a “big bang” was too good to pass up.

Imagine the universe at the “beginning” was not a single point that exploded into a Big Band, but a pool of energy that expanded and froze during a Big Chill into three dimensions (four, including time).  Such a freezing would explain numerous problems within the current Big Bang theory, as well as offer ways to test the theory by looking for telltale cracks in the structure of the universe that would be produced in the process.

Of course, that leaves open the question of where the universal condensate came from, and God only knows where that discussion will lead.

Back to blogging.  I still have not developed a steady readership, which is to be expected in a new blog.  So, I really wasn’t taking time off blogging lately, I was just prioritizing family and work, all the while building a tantalizing new idea for this blog and the upcoming election.  I fully expect to be back more actively blogging soon, with hopefully an idea in progress to help bring this blog to the next level.

Jews for Romney

One of the biggest mysteries to me is the consistent support by Jewish voters for Democrats, who could, frankly, give a d*mn about Israel, while Republicans, like Mitt Romney, remain the staunchest of supporters for the threatened state of Israel.

Love or hate his politics, Romney’s vocal support for Israel as a contender for the world’s top job, has challenged the incumbent and many Americans to rediscover their own understanding of the United States’ special relationship with the Jewish state.

My theory is that liberalism has replaced Judaism as the religion of choice for far too many Jews.  Shame.  Not only are they wrong about whether liberalism works to accomplish the goals they desire (liberalism is demonstrably deficient in accomplishing those goals), but they are in fact furthering the goals of the staunchest opponents of a safe and stable Israel.  Shame.  Politics should never become your religion.  And you should never hold beliefs, political or religious, that have results that are so different from the promises you signed up for.  Liberalism has failed every place it was tried.  Every place.  Christianity and Judaism, the foundation of this country, have succeeded, because they recognize the God-given rights of man.  Liberalism substitutes the “needs” of society for those God-given rights.  And it fails.  Every time it is tried.

My message to the Jewish vote is simple: it is time to recognize that liberalism is not a religion, and even if it was, it has failed.  Your actual religious views are better matched by supporting Republicans than by Democrats.  Period.

Obama Proves Campaign is Dead in the Water

Oh my.  I’ll bet his staff have some changes coming after this photo op:

Just how a bunch of dying farmland in the background helps the Obama case is beyond me…  According to Jim Hoft, the issue Obama was trying to make is that it is Republican’s fault that relief for farmers was not granted.  Except, of course, the bill in question died in the Democrat controlled Senate.

H/T Drudge and Gateway Pundit.

A Tale of Two Teens

Here’s a great comparison of teenage Obama verses teenage Ryan, courtesy of Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit.  This one caught my eye in particular because when I was a teen, the Oscar Mayer commercials were everywhere, and even though my last name is spelled differently, I still got called Oscar by erstwhile friends.

What Jim Hoft points out is that Ryan had a job as a teen, driving the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile.

Obama, by his own admission, was more of a Choom loving Scooby-doo type teen.

Can anyone say Scooby snacks?

Ryan Pick is a Winner

Well, I woke up this morning to a pleasant surprise.  I had become used to things just not going the way I thought they should this election cycle.  Romney was my fourth choice.  However, Paul Ryan is almost as exciting a VP choice as Sarah Palin was, and the Tea Party and the Republican base are jumping for joy.  Romney expects $3 million in donations just from announcing Ryan, that is how fired up the based is.

Good pick, Mitt.  Keep it up!

Shame on Obama: Joe Soptic, lies, and the grey shirt

This now infamous video by the Obama Super PAC (Priorities USA) is one of the most offensive, misleading, and pathetic attempts at a smear to ever grace a political campaign.  Shame on Obama.  More shame on Obama and his miscreant surrogates for trying to deny knowledge and involvement.  The Obama campaign has already included Joe Soptic in official conference calls, and in official campaign videos (wearing the same grey shirt and featuring the same hard hat).

Worse, the website features a slide quoting Joe Soptic, with the official Obama campaign comment making the same offensive and just plain wrong implication that Bain killed his wife:

A couple quick questions:  Was the Priorities USA video shot at the same time with the same crew as the Obama videos, or did they receive the raw footage from Obama’s campaign?  Isn’t it illegal to coordinate your official campaign with a Super PAC?

Here is the Priorities USA smear video, pay attention to the shirt at the hard hat in the background:

Now, look at the official campaign videos from Obama, with scenes that have Joe Soptic wearing the same shirt and with the same hard hat:

Watch the Grey Shirt and Hard Hat

Reality check.  Bain extended the life of GST Steel’s life by years.  The plant was closed because the militant actions of Joe Soptic’s union as they refused cuts necessary to compete with foreign steel. The plant closed years after Romney left Bain.  Joe Soptic’s wife had a job and medical insurance for at least a year after the plant closed.  Joe Soptic’s wife died six years later, having apparently been unaware or unwilling to seek treatment.

Therefore, according to Obama, this is Romney’s fault.

Shame, Obama.  Shame.

Here is some more background on the union strike that set up the final days of GST Steel.

Contract talks foundered and the union went on strike in April 1997. The first standoff since 1959 quickly turned nasty. Workers shot bottle rockets at security guards, tossed nails in the roadways to flatten the tires of nonunion trucks and pounded on the windows of vehicles as they left the plant.

During that time, negotiation for the union were being handled by David Foster, now part of the Green Jobs fraud being foisted on our suffering economy.  I’d bet a little money there is a connection between David Foster, Joe Soptic, and the Obama campaign.

Via HotAir, here is the audio from the Obama campaign conference call of May 14, 2012, featuring Joe Soptic and Obama campaign official Stephanie Cutter:

Desperation time.

Places not to Blog from
